Now that we are a section of Hillhead Sports club (HSC) we are able to offer more activities than ever over the summer months. Just as in previous years we’ll be running multiple Summer Leagues, but these are now moving to Monday nights, with an extra club training session on Wednesday evenings.
We’ll be back at HSC from Monday the 2nd of June. Our first summer league for 2025 will start on the 16th of June, 5-a-side format, and should run for 6 weeks. The exact configuration will depend on the number of sign ups so please register now so we can sort out teams and logistics:
If you have any queries not covered by the information below then please get in touch with us via hillheadultimate@gmail.com or you’ll find links to all our social media at the foot of the page
Below is a sample calendar of what we plan to run this summer
All of our summer activities take place at Hillhead Sports Club, 32 Hughendend Road, G12 9XP.
Monday nights:
Wednesday nights:
Sunday afternoon:
We play on the grass training pitch located next to the main club house and have access to changing rooms and toilets. Hillhead has a bar and cafe which is perfect for coming down to watch or to socialise afterward.
The above timings are generally correct but make sure you check Spond and the club calendar closer to the time for any changes.
SIGN UP DEADLINE: Do it NOW.
Everyone who registers is ordinarily put on a team but we do have an upper limit on capacity. We’ll allocate teams before the weekend of the 14th/15th of June. We will still accept new members throughout the summer but it makes it much easier if we know up front.
As well as Summer League on Monday evenings we’ll be at Hillhead for pickup/training and other activities on Wednesday nights and Sunday afternoons. This gives you up to 6 hours of ultimate most weeks.
By far the most affordable deal if you want to take advantage of all of this is to take out a Hillhead Sports Club membership:
We realise not everyone is ready to commit to a year round membership so we do still offer PAYG options:
Please note the summer league packages only apply to the Monday night sessions and must be payed for up front. Wednesday and Sunday training are not covered by this package, they are charged at PAYG rates.
We prefer you to pay up front if you are able (payment details are sent out after you register for summer league if you are new to the club). This saves us a lot of hassle and the club/treasurer being out of pocket. We will inform (hassle) you each week for not paying in advance unless you’ve been in touch to defer payment.
Financial hardship
As a club, we don’t want anyone to miss out on playing Ultimate due solely to financial reasons. If you’re worried about your ability to afford summer league, or any GU events, please fill in the relevant section of the form or get in touch with the club. All such matters are treated confidentially. We are usually happy to defer payment or allow you to pay over a period that suits your needs once we have come to an agreement.
